Logistics-Transportation Specialist Opportunity at Al-Dakahlia Group.

Al-Dakahlia Group are leading group of companies in different sectors, Poultry (Temry), Agricuture and Chemicals. 

Al-Dakahlia for Agriculture Development owns several Agriculture Sites and several Pack Houses across Egypt. Al-Dakahlia is Exporting Fresh Fruits and Vegetables to over 40 Countries across the world and the main target region is Europe.

We are looking for Logistics-Transportation Specialist to join our Agriculture Logistics Team Located at Nasr City - Cairo.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transportation Planning:

a)- Develop and implement transportation schedules and routes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

b)- Coordinate shipments with sites/Cold stores, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.

c)- Analyze transportation needs and suggest improvements.

2. Vendor and Transportation Management:

a)- Establish and maintain relationships with Truckers and logistics providers.

b)- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with transportation vendors.

c)- Monitor carrier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and timelines.

3. Compliance and Documentation:

a)- Ensure compliance with domestic transportation regulations & company requirements in trucks.

b)- Revise & approve logistics providers trips and instruct F&A to pay invoices.

c)- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities.

4. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

a)- Address and resolve transportation delays, discrepancies, or issues.

b)- Implement contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain.

5. Cost and Efficiency Optimization:

a)- Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities.

b)- Recommend strategies to improve truck utilization, minimize expenses, and reduce number of trips.

6. Customer Service:

a)- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.

b)- Provide updates on shipment status and address inquiries or concerns promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

a)- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
